LEARN Child Care Center Open House

Join Tlingit & Haida’s Little Eagles and Ravens Nest (LEARN) Child Care Center for an open house! The new child care center is accepting applications and will open its doors in January 2020. If you are looking for child care that provides an enriching early learning environment, stop by the open house to take a tour of the newly renovated facility and meet with staff. LEARN Child Care Center will also be accepting new and gently used children's books during the open house.

Reflections on ANCSA with Emil Nott

Please join us for a special lecture from Emil Notti on the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. Emil was the first President of the Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) and cast the tie-breaking vote to allow the Sealaska region into ANCSA. Without his vote, Southeast Alaska could have a different political and economic landscape.

Looking to maintain good grades or need some help studying? Tlingit & Haida’s Navigators program is ready to help you buckle down and get the most out of the school year! Sessions are open to tribal citizens students (6th-12th grade). Tutoring and homework coaching available. Snacks provided.

Linking Generations By Strengthening Relationships®

Linking Generations By Strengthening Relationships® is a 14-week class that builds upon the Fatherhood & Motherhood Is Sacred® curriculum. The goal of the class is to help fathers, mothers and families build capacity to engage in and maintain healthy relationships and explore the truths and myths of strong, healthy and positive relationships. Dinner and child care will be available.

Motherhood Is Sacred™

A new 12-week session of the Motherhood Is Sacred™ program will begin on June 24th! The sessions will be held every Monday through September 16th, 2019 and are designed to strengthen families through guided discussions on responsible parenting and will explore topics on choice, wisdom, self-identity, and relationships.

Fatherhood Is Sacred Sessions®

There is no role in life more important than being a parent...The Fatherhood is Sacred® (FIS) program is a 12-week class that brings fathers together for fun activities and discussions designed to guide them in teaching and raising children to develop the potential and attributes needed for success in life. Dinner and child care are provided. The classes are held very Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on the second floor of the Andrew Hope Building (320 W. Willoughby Avenue) in Juneau.
