Juneau Tlingit and Haida Community Council

The purpose of the Juneau Tlingit & Haida Community Council shall be to promote and protect the health, education, economic and general welfare of the members and of their children; to administer charity and such other services as may contribute to the social, traditional, cultural and economic development for the members and to govern, conduct and manage the affairs and property of the Council.

Membership is open to adult descendants and enrolled citizens of the Central Council Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska.


  • Regular council meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month September through May, from 5:30 - 7PM in the Juneau T&H Community Council building located at 3235 Hospital Drive.
  • Annual meeting is held in the month of March.
  • Special meetings are held at the call of the President or Executive Officers.
  • Committee meetings are at the call of the Committee Chair.


General elections of delegates to the Tribal Assembly of the Central Council shall be held every even-numbered year on the third Thursday in March. Council member elections are held in conjunction with the delegate elections.

  • Bingo is held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Juneau T&H Community Council Building. Doors open at 5PM and bingo starts at 7PM.
  • Cultural activities are held January through April on Saturdays from 12:30PM to 4PM (subject to change).
